Which One Should You Buy?

The JMGO IRIS Ultra and N5S Pro Max are very close in many areas. Both use a 0.47-inch DMD, 4K resolution, triple-color laser technology, the same throw ratio, lens shift, variable aperture, and similar audio hardware. The JMGO N5S Pro Max even has higher rated brightness and contrast, so the JMGO IRIS Ultra doesn’t win simply because it has better basic hardware.

The biggest advantage of the JMGO IRIS Ultra is its 4K@120Hz support. It also adds VRR and ALLM, making it the more capable choice for gaming. On top of that, Google TV provides a more familiar and flexible smart TV experience than the Bonfire OS on the JMGO N5S Pro Max.

The JMGO N5S Pro Max, however, is much cheaper and still offers a very similar core projector experience. If you mainly watch movies and TV shows and don’t need 4K at 120Hz, it can be a much better value. Its higher rated brightness and contrast are also worth considering.

For me, the JMGO IRIS Ultra is the better projector overall because it offers more gaming features and a better smart TV platform. But the JMGO N5S Pro Max is the better choice if value is your priority. At around $600 less, it gives you a lot of the same hardware and performance without paying extra for features you may not need.

So, if you want the most complete package and plan to use the projector for gaming, choose the JMGO IRIS Ultra. If you’re mainly looking for a powerful 4K laser projector at a lower price, the JMGO N5S Pro Max is the smarter buy.
