Which One Should You Buy?
The JMGO IRIS Ultra Max and N5S Ultra Max are remarkably similar projectors. Both offer 4K resolution, full-path 4K@120Hz, VRR, ALLM, AI Gimbal, a 6+9-blade dual iris system, 10,000:1 native contrast, 110% BT.2020 color gamut, and many of the same features and specifications.
The biggest difference is the price and the version of the projector. The JMGO IRIS Ultra Max is the global version, designed for international markets and available in the United States, Europe, and other countries. The JMGO N5S Ultra Max is a Chinese version, with a Chinese operating system, and is generally purchased from China and shipped internationally.
This makes the JMGO IRIS Ultra Max more convenient if you want a projector designed for the international market, with a more familiar software experience and local availability depending on your country. With the JMGO N5S Ultra Max, you can get very similar hardware and features for considerably less money, but you need to be comfortable with the Chinese version and buying it from China.
The JMGO N5S Ultra Max is also rated at slightly higher brightness, so the higher price of the JMGO IRIS Ultra Max isn’t simply about getting a brighter image. In terms of the core projector specifications and 4K@120Hz features, the two models are remarkably close.
So, why pay more for the JMGO IRIS Ultra Max? The main reasons are its global version, international availability, and the convenience that comes with buying a projector intended for markets outside China. If you don’t mind the Chinese operating system and ordering the projector from China, the JMGO N5S Ultra Max offers a very similar feature set at a much lower price.
Ultimately, these two projectors are much closer than their prices might suggest. The choice comes down less to their core specifications and more to how much you value the global version and international availability of the JMGO IRIS Ultra Max compared with the significant savings offered by the JMGO N5S Ultra Max.
