JMGO N5S Pro Max

The JMGO N5S Pro Max is one of the higher-end models in JMGO’s new N5S projector lineup, positioned above the N5S Pro and below the N5S Ultra and N5S Ultra Max. It combines native 4K resolution, a Qualas42 Triple-Color Laser light source, high brightness, advanced image processing, and a unique dual-aperture light control system, making it a much more powerful option than the entry-level N5S Pro.

One of the key features of the N5S Pro Max is its Bionic Dual-Aperture Dynamic Iris system, designed to improve light control and picture quality. The system uses two apertures to dynamically control the amount of light passing through the optical system, helping the projector adapt to different scenes and lighting conditions. According to JMGO, this technology is designed to improve depth, clarity, contrast, and stray-light suppression, making dark scenes look deeper while maintaining detail in brighter areas.

The dual-aperture system is particularly interesting for home theater use. The projector features a 6-aperture iris mode with an F2.0–F7.0 range, giving users additional control over the optical light output. JMGO rates the N5S Pro Max at an impressive 8,000:1 native contrast ratio and 50,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, with the dual-aperture optical system playing an important role in achieving this level of contrast.

The N5S Pro Max delivers 4K (3840 × 2160) resolution and uses a Qualas42 Triple-Color Laser light source. It reaches up to 4,800 ISO lumens / 4,000 CVIA lumens, while its high native contrast and 110% BT.2020 color gamut provide a wide and vivid color range. The projector also supports MEMC motion compensation and Wall Color Adaptation.

For flexible installation, the projector features JMGO’s AI Full-Control Gimbal System, supporting 360° horizontal rotation and 150° vertical tilt. It also offers bidirectional lens shift with ±53% horizontal and ±130% vertical adjustment, making it much easier to position the projector and achieve the desired image without moving the entire unit. Wall Color Adaptation is supported as well.

The N5S Pro Max uses a 0.88–1.7:1 optical zoom throw ratio, giving users more flexibility when choosing the projection distance. It also supports MEMC motion compensation, with the lineup supporting smooth high-frame-rate content, and includes split-screen viewing mode for compatible use cases.

Audio is another area where the Pro Max steps up from the entry-level model. It features two 12.5W speakers with bass extension down to 35Hz, along with Dolby Hi-Fi sound quality and DTS decoding.

Inside, the projector is powered by the MediaTek MT9681 platform and comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It runs Bonfire OS 7 and supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth. Connectivity includes HDMI 2.1 with eARC, a second HDMI 2.1 port, USB 3.0, and DC IN.
