JMGO N5S Ultra

The JMGO N5S Ultra is a premium 4K laser projector designed for users who want more than just high brightness. As one of the top models in the new N5S lineup, it combines native 4K resolution, 6000 ISO lumens, triple-color laser technology, and advanced optical light control to deliver a more refined home theater experience.

The biggest highlight of the N5S Ultra is its Dual Iris Light Control, an innovative optical system designed to overcome one of the biggest challenges of high-brightness projectors: controlling light while maintaining strong contrast.

Instead of simply producing more light, the Dual Iris system dynamically regulates the optical output according to the scene. This helps improve black levels, shadow detail, image depth, and overall clarity, especially when watching movies in darker environments.

The system features a 6-level iris design with an F2.0–F7.0 aperture range and up to 15 aperture blades. JMGO claims that it also improves stray-light suppression by 11.34%, helping to keep unwanted light under control.

The result is an impressive 9,000:1 native contrast ratio and 50,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, making contrast and optical light control some of the N5S Ultra’s biggest advantages.

The N5S Ultra uses a Qualas42 Triple Color Laser light source and delivers up to 5,200 CVIA lumens / 6,000 ISO lumens. This gives it plenty of brightness for large-screen projection while maintaining the wide color performance expected from a premium triple-laser projector.

It supports 110% BT.2020 color gamut, allowing it to reproduce a broad range of colors with strong saturation and vividness. JMGO also uses its MALC 6.0 optical technology, which is claimed to improve overall light efficiency by up to 38%.

The projector features native 4K resolution at 3840 × 2160, making it suitable for large-screen movies, gaming, sports, and other high-resolution content.

For fast-moving content, the N5S Ultra includes PureMotion MEMC technology, designed to reduce motion blur and provide smoother-looking frames.

Positioning the projector is also particularly flexible. Its AI Full-Control Gimbal System allows 360° horizontal rotation and 150° vertical tilt, while the bidirectional lens shift provides up to ±53% horizontal and ±130% vertical adjustment.

The 0.88–1.7:1 optical zoom adds another level of flexibility, allowing you to adjust the projection size without depending entirely on digital image correction.

The projector also supports Wall Color Adaptation, so it can compensate for different wall colors when a dedicated projection screen isn’t being used.

Under the hood, the N5S Ultra uses the MediaTek MT9681 platform with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It runs Bonfire OS 7 and supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth.

For external devices, you get two HDMI 2.1 ports, including HDMI 2.1 with eARC, USB 3.0, and DC IN. The projector also supports Dolby Hi-Fi sound and DTS decoding.

Built-in audio comes from two 12.5W speakers, with bass extending down to 35Hz, giving the N5S Ultra a reasonably powerful sound system for a projector.
