The XGIMI Z9X 4K packs 1500 CVIA lumens, 3GB RAM, 64GB storage, and MT9681 processor into a compact design. Discover its features and see if this portable 4K projector is worth buying.

The XGIMI Z9X 4K (2026) is a compact projector designed for people who want a big-screen experience without a bulky home theater setup. It combines 4K projection, a slim portable design, and capable hardware, making it an interesting option for movie nights, gaming, and everyday entertainment.

One of its main highlights is its 1500 CVIA lumens of brightness. This gives the projector plenty of potential for home entertainment, although a darker room will still help you get the best picture quality. Its 4K resolution is another major attraction, offering detailed images for movies, TV shows, and games on a much larger screen than a typical television.

Inside, the XGIMI Z9X is powered by the MediaTek MT9681 processor, paired with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. This hardware provides the foundation for its smart features and gives you room to store apps and other content. The projector also supports automatic focus and keystone correction, helping you get a clear, properly aligned image without spending too much time adjusting the picture manually.

Portability is another big selling point. The XGIMI Z9X weighs around 1.5 kg and has a slim body measuring approximately 7.8 cm thick. Its gimbal-style design allows the projector to tilt up to 150 degrees, giving you more flexibility when choosing where to project. Whether you want to watch a movie on a bedroom wall or project onto the ceiling while relaxing in bed, this adjustable design makes setup more convenient.

The projector also features an optical zoom lens with a 0.98–1.3:1 throw ratio. This lets you adjust the image size optically without relying entirely on digital resizing. For gaming, features such as Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) and Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) are worth noting, as they can help deliver a smoother, more responsive experience with compatible devices.

Overall, the XGIMI Z9X 4K brings together portability, 4K projection, useful setup features, and capable internal hardware in one compact package. If you want a projector that is easier to move and position than a traditional home theater model, it is certainly worth a closer look.
