Which One Should You Buy?
The XGIMI Z9X 4K and XGIMI Z9X 4K High Brightness share many of the same features, including 4K resolution, a compact design, and a 0.98–1.3:1 optical zoom. However, the High Brightness version takes things a step further with an upgraded QuaLas42 triple-color laser light source and a higher rated brightness of 1,600 CVIA lumens, compared with 1,500 CVIA lumens on the standard model. The newer light source also offers improved dynamic contrast.
For me, the XGIMI Z9X 4K High Brightness is the better choice for most people. It offers improved lighting performance while keeping the same resolution and optical zoom range, and it costs less. At the listed prices, you’re looking at $599 instead of $699, which makes the newer version particularly attractive.
The standard XGIMI Z9X 4K still has one advantage worth considering: its 3GB of RAM compared with 2GB in the High Brightness version. If you prioritize memory for the smart system and apps, this could be a reason to stick with the original model.
Ultimately, though, the High Brightness version offers the more appealing overall package. Unless you specifically need the extra RAM, I’d choose the XGIMI Z9X 4K High Brightness for its upgraded laser light source, higher brightness, and lower price.
