Which One Should You Buy?
After comparing the JMGO N5S Ultra and N5 Ultra, it’s clear that the N5S Ultra is not simply a better version of the N5 Ultra. It brings several important upgrades, but the older model still has some advantages that make the choice more complicated.
The JMGO N5S Ultra’s biggest improvements are its newer MALC 6.0 and QuaLas42 tri-color laser system, higher 5,200 CVIA brightness, and Dual Iris Light Control. The Dual Iris system gives the N5S Ultra additional control over the light output, helping improve contrast and black levels depending on the viewing environment.
However, the N5 Ultra still offers 128GB of storage, support for larger screens up to 200 inches, 240Hz refresh rate and lossless zoom, while also being around $200 cheaper at the prices listed in this comparison.
For me, this makes the decision much closer. If you want the newest laser technology, higher brightness and better control over the light output, the N5S Ultra is the more advanced projector. But if you care more about overall value, storage, larger-screen capability and gaming features, the N5 Ultra remains an excellent option.
So, which one would I choose? I’d give the N5S Ultra a slight overall advantage because its newer laser system, higher brightness and Dual Iris Light Control are meaningful improvements to the core projection system. The N5 Ultra is still the better value if you can find it at a significantly lower price, but if the price difference is small, the N5S Ultra is the model I’d buy.
