Which One Should You Buy?

After comparing the JMGO N5S Pro Max and JMGO N5 Pro Max, the choice is surprisingly easy. The N5S Pro Max is the better overall projector and the one I would choose.

The biggest reason is that the JMGO N5S Pro Max doesn’t feel like a cheaper version of the N5 Pro Max. It actually improves on some of its most important specifications. You get 4000 CVIA brightness instead of 3600 CVIA, the newer MALC 6.0 / QuaLas42 tri-color laser system, while keeping the same 4K resolution, 1.9x optical zoom, throw ratio, chipset, RAM, and 240W light source.

And then there is the price. At the prices listed in this comparison, the N5S Pro Max costs around $240 less than the N5 Pro Max. That makes the newer model particularly interesting because you’re paying less while getting a newer laser system and higher brightness.

The N5 Pro Max still has a few advantages. Its 128GB of storage, higher listed 11,000:1 contrast ratio, and support for screens up to 200 inches could be useful for some home-theater setups.

But for most people, those advantages aren’t enough to justify spending more. The JMGO N5S Pro Max gives you more brightness, a newer laser technology, essentially the same core hardware, and a lower price.

So, if you’re choosing between these two projectors today, the JMGO N5S Pro Max is the clear winner for me. The N5 Pro Max may have a few extra features, but the N5S Pro Max offers the better combination of performance and value — and that’s what makes it the more compelling choice.
