JMGO N5S Ultra Max vs N5 Ultra Max: Which One Should You Buy?
After comparing the JMGO N5S Ultra Max and N5 Ultra Max, this is a much closer battle than you might expect. Both projectors share the same 4K resolution, 0.47″ DMD, 1.9x optical zoom, throw ratio, chipset, 128GB storage and 300W light source. The real differences are in the laser system, brightness, image control and some of the extra features.
The JMGO N5S Ultra Max is the more advanced projector. It uses the newer MALC 6.0 and QuaLas42 tri-color laser system, increases brightness to 5,600 CVIA Lumens, and adds Dual-Aperture Light Control. It also supports 4K at 120Hz, making it a very capable option for both home theater and gaming.
The JMGO N5 Ultra Max still has some impressive advantages. It offers 8GB of RAM instead of 4GB, and a higher 11,000:1 contrast ratio. It is also slightly cheaper at the current prices shown in this comparison.
But the price difference is only around $70, which makes the N5S Ultra Max more attractive. For such a small premium, you’re getting a newer laser platform, higher brightness, Dual-Aperture Light Control and 4K 120Hz support.
So, which one wins? For me, it’s the JMGO N5S Ultra Max. It doesn’t completely outperform the N5 Ultra Max in every specification, but its improvements are focused on the parts that matter most for the actual projection experience. If the price difference remains this small, I would choose the JMGO N5S Ultra Max as the more modern and future-proof option.
The JMGO N5 Ultra Max is still worth considering if you specifically want 8GB of RAM, 240Hz gaming or a larger 200-inch image. But for most buyers, the JMGO N5S Ultra Max is the better overall package.
