Let’s start with the design. The Vidda C3 Pro projector has a minimalist design in polar gray. The body is made of metal. The white dots on the surface actually imitate starlight, like stars scattered across the night sky. The new Hisense projector weighs 5.7 kg.
On the right side of the front panel is an oversized lens with 4K optical zoom. On the left side of it are infrared sensor, ambient light sensor, and keystone correction sensor.

How to use Vidda C3 Pro with 110V?
The power adapter has a gallium nitride transformer or a GaN power converter thanks to which you can easily connect the Vidda C3 Pro directly to a 110V outlet.
After 1 hour of using the projector, the temperature of the power converter was below 35 degrees. Vidda has many advantages in heat dissipation.
Vidda C3 Pro: Connectivity Options
In terms of connectivity, the Vidda C3 Pro projector has two HDMI 2.1 ports, one of which supports eARC and CEC. It allows you to connect speakers directly to the projector and control them simultaneously with a single cable.
There are also two USB 3.0 ports that support exFAT, which is not found in many projectors. The picture mode continues the tradition of the previous generation and provides the largest number of preset picture modes, such as Standard, Bright, Vivid, Kids, Cinema, Director’s Choice, Game, Sports, Ultra New, and Custom.

Tips for Adjusting Brightness
Go to the Projection Settings submenu and find the Screen Size setting. The default setting is 100 inches. Change this value to 130 inches or more.
The brightness will automatically increase!
Why? Because Vidda’s logic is: the larger the screen, the brighter the projection. So, by simply increasing the size manually, you will automatically increase the brightness. Many people don’t know this little secret and think that Dolby mode is darker. In fact, with just one setting, you can instantly discover a whole new world of possibilities!

How Do They Differ in Appearance?
The front panels of the Vidda C3S, Vidda C3 Pro and Vidda C3 Ultra look almost identical, with minor differences in size.
The speakers have the same mesh vents on the sides and bottom.
The rear vents and connectors are identical.
All three projectors have a manual rotating stand on the bottom, but the Vidda C3 Ultra is equipped with a 20W subwoofer, giving it a more solid appearance.
The Vidda C3 ULTRA and Vidda C3 PRO are made of metal, while the Vidda C3S has a plastic body with a mesh frame. All three projectors feature Dolby Vision and JBL logos.

Color Settings

Is the Throw Ratio Different for the Three Projectors?
The Vidda C3 PRO boasts a projection ratio of 0.9-1.5:1, and the optical zoom allows you to scale 90-150-inch screens at a distance of 3 meters without loss, allowing you to project onto a large screen even from a close distance. It is recommended to use it with an anti-glare screen to significantly reduce the impact of ambient light (see actual photos).
Our testing of optical zoom shows that a 100-inch screen can be projected without loss at a distance of 2–3.4 m, and a 120-inch screen at a distance of 2.4–4 m.
Should you buy the Chinese version?
Overall, I haven’t had any problems with the Vidda C3 Pro projector so far. Although the speakers support Dolby Audio, I still recommend connecting a soundbar or home theater system.
As for the apps, since the Vidda C3 series is only available in China now, they do not have Netflix and Disney+. Currently, the only familiar app is YouTube. The best solution is to buy a TV stick or a TV box. A TV stick is much more convenient. Just plug the TV stick into the USB port in the projector. For example, you can use Xiaomi Mi Box and Google Chromecast 4K. Both have similar specifications and support Dolby Vision, and have many streaming apps.
Otherwise, all features are available in the Chinese version of the Vidda C3 projectors, including Dolby Vision and Dolby Audio. So don’t be afraid to order it from China, for example from Alibaba.
